BROOKVALE UTD 0 - 14 NORTON KNIGHTS LEGENDS
I' d like to start by paying respect to the Brookvale lads for their never-say-die attitude during the game. Considering they only had 9 men, they gave as good as they got for the first 10 minutes of the match and worked hard, well done lads!!
However, Legends captain and Man of the Match, Dexy Hanley, broke the dead lock with a superb well worked opener from a well delivered corner and it only took a couple of minutes for they same player to score again, making it 2-0 to us. Wes scored the next, followed by goals in quick succession from Tommo, Banner, Zach and Wes, his 2nd of the game. Lewis Jones was next on the score-sheet followed by a coolly taken goal from Aaron Smith, after a 1 on 1 with the goalie!! Half-time score 8-0 to Legends.
The second half showed more of the same - an opener from Zach - his 2nd, followed by 2nd goals for both Aaron & Lewis. Zach rounded off a great days football for him by getting his hatrick and our 13th goal of the day!
It was then down to our goalie, Sam who became an outfield player and prove himself class, not only as a keeper but also as a great player by scoring a superb final and 14th goal of the match.
A GREAT WHOLE TEAM PERFORMANCE - KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK LADS!!!!!!
